For more than a century, Darlington Music Society has been a leading promoter of chamber music concerts in the North East. Run entirely by volunteers on a non-profit basis, every year we bring the finest musicians to Darlington to offer live performances at surprisingly reasonable prices.
All our concerts take place in the atmospheric setting of Darlington's early Victorian Central Hall, now part of the Dolphin Centre (postcode DL1 5RP).
We offer varied programmes of music, including mainstays of the chamber repertoire and lesser-known pieces from many different eras, performed by both rising young stars and established, well-known performers.
Our 2024/25 programme is set to be vibrant and varied, with performances from The Treske Quartet and early music specialists The Herschel Players — you can find the full programme on our Concerts page. Also on this website you can buy tickets (including our great-value season ticket, and the new, even greater value joint season ticket with Richmondshire Concerts), find out about our history and past concerts, and get in touch if you'd like to request a brochure or if you have any questions.
We look forward to seeing you at a concert soon!
